As a small biz owner I see how 2012 taxes and employment guidelines are changing. As a chiropractor/healthcare provider I also see how reporting what we do and what is wrong with our patients is becoming more and more time consuming every passing day. With each day the reimbursements for treating patients are receding quicker than my hairline(PDQ). So, inflation goes up and payment for services rendered goes down. And not just a few percentage points.... medicare reimbursements are laughable and hovering around 30 percent. So, for example, if I charge you $100 for a diagnosis or treatment, I'm only going to get 33 back from Medicare and have to take the remaining 66 and eat it.
This is just the medical field mind you. I decided while still in school I wasn't in the healthcare field to be a millionaire.
In your field I want to urge you to hang on to whatever job you have and MAKE SURE your boss knows this place will not function without you. No questions left to analyse, you are not to be laid off. You make sure you are vital to the success of whatever business you are in. It is coming fast and hard. get ready. Hold onto that job and don't be the lazy one who only has excuses, and blame for everyone but themselves.
